YDL lower match 1 - 07/05 at Macclesfield

The sun shone, there were lots of PB’s (with a club record as well), what a great start to the new season.

A huge well done to all our athletes yesterday, a cracking team effort all round. I’m still awaiting the results but the last announcement I heard on the day, we were lying 3rd out of 7 teams. I will post the results as soon as I get them.

I couldn’t be more proud, what a great team togetherness we have.

Too many fantastic performances to mention, as you will see from the results. However I feel I should give a special mention to Olivia Jones who broke the club record again for the 70m U13 girls hurdles. That record might tumble a few times this season. Well done Liv!

A big thank you to all our officials, without whom we wouldn’t be able to compete - Steve, Martin, Wendy, Wade, Paul, Ceri, Orla and Kate.

Shout out to the parents and coaches for their continued support.

Looking forward to Match 2 at Leigh on 3rd June where hopefully we can put in just as strong a showing and maybe fill some more of those field events.
