Northern Indoor Championships

The Northern Indoor Championships took place in Sheffield over the weekend of 11/12th January. Joe Hudak starting the weekend with a fabulous Bronze in the senior men’s 1500m against some stiff opposition.

On day 2, ECH had 4 athletes competing. Amelia Jones had an early start in the U17 ladies 200m where she recorded an indoor PB, securing a place in the semi final where she finished 5th. Max Ormston ran the U17 men’s 200m finishing in 4th place in his heat, narrowly missing out on a semi final place. In the Senior 800m James Harney ran a big PB but with only top 2 automatically qualifying for the final missed out despite recording the 4th quickest time from the heats. Following on from the success of a bronze medal in the 1500m on the previous day, Joe Hudak went one better today with a silver medal in the 800m.

Amazing efforts all round. Well done to all athletes.
