English Schools Track & Field Championships 2023

Huge congratulations to Lily Murphy, Emilia Platt and Emily Bowker at this weekends English Schools champs. The athletes were competing against the best in the country and all 3 ran amazing. First off on Friday was Lily where she was contesting the senior girls 100m, winning her heat and qualifying for Saturday’s final. Emily was next up in the inter girls 300m, finishing 4th in her heat and missing out on a place in the final finishing 9th overall and running a PB in the process. Saturday saw Emilia run in the senior girls 3000m final finishing a credible 14th place overall in her last ever English schools race. Lily was next up in the 100m final where she was ranked 3rd from the heats but after a fantastic start out of the blocks ran an equal PB and finished in silver medal position just three hundredths off a gold medal. In the final events of the day, Emily was part of the inter girls 4x100m relay team which brought home a well deserved silver medal. Well done girls. A fantastic set of results.
